Poetry that thinks out loud

MIDDLE OF NOWHERE

We were lost in the middle of nowhere;
Neither us knew how we had got there.
No kind of life not even a sign;
We walked for hours eight or nine.

The wind was blowing the clouds so dark;
We passed what was a ghost town park.
Supplies were low we began to fear;
Were we ever going to get out of here?

Our chances now looked very slim;
I looked to my friend who's face was grim.
Said “what in the hell are we to do?
What are the odds of making it through?”

Before he could reply we heard a sound;
Clinging to each other we turned around.
A man did emerge from behind an old tree;
And in a Chinese accent said, “you want DVD?”
