Where Have All The Years Gone
Where have all the years gone
Years that I spent searching long
for tomorrow as a brighter day
and never stopped along the way
How have I come this far
not holding on to one star
How have I let them slip away
as night became another day
Speeding weeks and months and years
only to remember all the tears
that took my smile away
when I thought it would stay
Why has all this time flown
Lives have changed and children grown
Where did all those days go
that twinkle now with star-glow
When did I become so old
and why is the air so awfully cold
that brings the night
with less future in sight
Who is it that can foretell
how long I've left in this mortal shell
and if I've more mornings yet to dawn
