THE DARK ONES
Dark souls hide
behind a mask
of professed purity
grinning gargoyles
and smiling serpents
working macabre
machinations with
the duplicity of
Innocence
With sneers full of
deadly intentions
and deceit they
sink their fangs
of greed and
power-mongering
into the flesh of
the foolishly
Naïve
Twisting truths
until they become lies
and love until it becomes
hate, they thrive on
the manipulation of
the ingenuous to suit
their own avaricious ends
and leave behind
Disillusion
End the Darkness
by walking in Light
you'll not overcome
by fear or by fight…
Don't play with the fire
of the Dark Ones.
