Once Upon....This Time
No Castles but those of sand
Remind the boy inside this man
That once upon a time was then
A Knight was I when then was when
A land where Dragons breathed great fire
Today this Knight is not required
To save Damsel from winged beast
Or Black Knight to say the least
Wizards have packed their great potions
Once stirred in cauldron with other notions
A pinch of bat, a lizards tail
Today is but an old wives tale
Once upon a time, this time
We hold to what in heart still mine
A time where table we sat round
By friends those left painting the town
We party less but more mature
Is what we have that has endured
The test of time where now we keep
Her we kiss now fast asleep
Our horse replaced by faster ride
Today garaged is what we prize
My mustang named SALEEN my pleasure
Four Hundred Horses we treasure
No suit of armor today's attire
Are jeans, t-shirt, muscle admired
In car not me once a young lad
Today not so, but too, not looking bad
So in closing we'd like to say
We hope that you enjoyed your stay
In reading what was Once Upon
This time we shared maybe a bond
Now if you excuse me.. My chariot awaits!..lol
