A Message for Life

For everybody out there causing me stress and strive
I have a message for you and a message for life
Enough is a enough and though you'll still keep trying me
You can push and you can pull but I will get where I want to be
I'm not giving up, so you can take want you want to take
You can bend me and twist me but I'm not gonna break
You have taken from me, loved one after loved one
You have layered dark clouds over my morning sun
I see the ladder pulled from under me, doors slammed in my face
Many of names moved in front of mine even taking my place
For every step I take forward you push me two steps back
You make it as hard as you want I'm okay with that
I have come to the conclusion that this much is true
There is not much difference than what others in life go through
We have to work long hours, we have to pay high bills
Either down in the valleys, or way up in the hills
We get sick sometimes, we get down and out
And not many really understand what's life's about
I don't pretend to have the answers but I know deep inside
The life is a rollercoaster and I'm on for the long ride
So you can take from me but you will give something back
Because I have a higher power that will make sure of that
And to anybody out there that may be listening to me
You better connect with your power whatever that might be
I can only choose for me, I can't choose for you
But you better call on something real because life will take you through
I have a message for life, and I declare it here today
I will move through any obstacles  you put in my way
I will not go gentle into that long goodnight
This life is mine to live to the fullest , I will stand and fight
