Take a walk with me through words
to vistas in my mind
Journey down some lonesome road
explore the sights we find
Listen close to heartfelt songs
a rhythm kept in time
If a smile I give to you
much more my life is fine
Am I wiser with my age
then when my life was young
Wisdom is a redeeming grace
yet seldom bells are rung
When we learn life's lesson well
but oh, the joy sung
Don't pat yourself on the back
until your coat is hung
Is God love or is Love god
I ask this thought of you
Which of these through faith alone
do you believe is true
Take a walk with me through time
back through religions too
So many gods do we find
there's more then quite a few
If belief can make them real
where are they all today
Or when we stopped believing
did they just go away
Which religion's God is real
myself I cannot say
But of love through history
it's still the same today
