By Promises of Christ
Whoever that may thirst,
Come down to the water;
And dive in it headfirst,
The weather is hotter.
If you have no money,
You can still come and drink;
Where the milk and honey,
Bees will serve in a wink.
You do not have to pay,
Because it is for free;
So why spend as you stray,
When God will give the key.
Eat all things that are good,
And enjoy the best food;
If you do as you should,
With the right attitude.
Open your eyes and ears,
And come unto the Lord;
Quench your thirst on His tears,
Nourishing on His Word.
Listen so you may live,
He makes promises to you;
And willing to forgive;
Telling your sins adieu.
