In many writes upon this site
There are many whose lonely nights
Have held them captive, for they have seen
Love but once, today day dreamed
When we write, our words make friends
With those who read with eyes they lend
Me stranger, visual of them
Unknown whose heart we comprehend
They share values that pair with mine
Heartfelt, reality, love many kinds
We are in sync as if we knew
Each others thoughts with words we drew
Their past. present and too their future
Where heartbreak called for one to suture
I've seen love of many kinds
The years once young where love was blind
This was the time when love we thought
Was real and true but left distraught
It was the kid who fell in love
With her much older, her we thought of
Where bags of candy were strung and lowered
From fire escape that touched her shoulder
Her whose shoulder we'd lay upon
Where all felt right today now gone
Leaving her scent upon a child
Who lived for her, loved for awhile
Then came she after the war
Who came and left and heart she tore
When time would come to claim her soul
Today barren our arms now hold
I've seen love like many here
Precious to them, precious and dear
That time would bring and also take
Today alone we love forsakes
