 It's Better In The Bahamas
A writer pens from sands afar
Poetic verse, stories that jar
A readers heart to join with them
Moments where love sometimes condemns

Jilted by some gigolo
Some Romeo she will tell so
Of lies where circumstances call
To cut her ties, soften her fall

Although she knows not us who writes
This poem hers we thought we'd might
Try to weave a better ending
To love story while her hearts mending

Gifted her and island bound
Her words will help someone rebound
From pain suffered, the loving kind
As waves crash souls of love lived blind

Sometimes a read will help to bring
Some peace of mind from played heart strings
That someone plucked and snapped leaving
A heart broken by much deceiving

So in closing we'd like to say
Mechelle. poet, friend made today
Has writes that stage the many dramas
Of poems birthed in the Bahamas
