Lack Of
Your need of Him you do not see
As darkness blurs your destiny
The hurt that brings the rain today
Is not of one who has not stayed
The loneliness that spins around
Your soul, your life, the you that drowns
Has not sipped for you don't ask
To be relieved, of burdens tasked
Yet still they wait for you to come
To bring forth life, daughter and son
As parched your soul seeks relief
For lack of faith and your beliefs
The cup awaits for those whose need
Brings the change, that takes the lead
In life yours given where ransom paid
Where hands and feet kept sin at bay
Lack of you remains to be
The one so loved your vanity
Consumes whats left that you won't share
Your heart and soul on cross he bared
Lack of time, lack of funds
Will run out soon but you won't run
To arms waiting, blessing untouched
Given freely with love so much
Lack of you hurts Him greatly
When called your name you hear faintly
The Voice of Truth who knows you well
Before your birth, He saved from Hell
