Power of Poetry
Words flow like oceans in our mind
Each one distinct, where all will find
Compassion theirs to tell a story
Some filled with pain and some of glory
The point to write drives a poet
To seed a heart, for one to sow it
Bringing change to some degree
Breaking chains, setting one free
What is written proclaims you are
Unique like Suns we call the stars
Where light your own will shine upon
Making a friend, maybe too bond
Read each day your work a gift
Unwrapped, for all to see what lifts
A soul today including yours
Your stay on site today you'll tour
New horizons to explore
When all hearts leave an open door
Enter will the need to feed
The words given by GOD to seed
Stay hungry, there's more to come
The fare before you is far from done
For this is just another write
To feed someone hungry tonight
