The lost Soul Mate

The Lost Soul mate
How do you comfort the one whose lost their soul mate
Who else can understand the feeling of a pain so great
This was the one life had chosen to chase dreams with
Forever was in the distance and together we had seen it
Plans for the future built on memories of the past
Yet here in the present it seems time went too fast
What  is there to do now, where is there to go
Your touch and your laughter is all I want to know
Give me the wink of your eye, a smile on your face
Let me hold your hand or feel you embrace
Anything will do as long as it's from you
How in the world can I ever make it through
Opinions all around me, voices of concern
Prefabricated understanding from those yet to learn
So sincere in their efforts, but who could comprehend
A soul whose lost a soul mate, a journey at its end
Oh the loneliness the , the confusion, the doubt
And the question why, and what's it all about
How could this have happen, all so suddenly
None so far has been able to explain this to me
They say all wounds will heal, it's gets better with time
Are the days so longer now or is it in my mind
Oh my God I cry to you, no other help  I know
Would it be too much to ask to awake and find it isn't so
In the words of Jesus Christ “let this cup pass from me”
If not Lord your will be done  what will be will be
Will you then at least hold me as I cry alone at night
Longing for my soul mate who has taken flight
