Poetic-Verses

summers end

That morning chill,
Hit me with goose bumps
The sign of summers demise;
Slow climbing sun
The crisp blue skies.

September  crawled upon me,
Like a thief in the night.
Leaves turning pale, browning.
Skeleton trees in twilight;

The forewarning of yuletide,
Sweatshirts pact away,
jumpers and top coats
The order of the day……

The rain comes as a scourge,
The dampness fills the air,
Oh how I miss summer,
And the feeling that it stirs;
