sitting here observingI have sat here happy In the gardens Watching the still pool And the dark clouds The wind of the upper air Green leafy bushery Trees of late summer A delight of water lilies The roses lay roots In tiny smooth white stones The pale yellow grasses Breeze from the sea Here the mist moves Over fragile leaves rushes Colorless waters and brown Faded hills As the mighty sun The rose fingered moon Beside the great stars As light completely goes out The dew is shed upon roses And soft meadow sweet Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
