sitting here observing

I have sat here happy
In the gardens
Watching the still pool
And the dark clouds
The wind of the upper air
Green leafy bushery
Trees of late summer
A delight of water lilies
The roses lay roots
In tiny smooth white stones
The pale yellow grasses
Breeze from the sea
Here the mist moves
Over fragile leaves rushes
Colorless waters and brown
Faded hills
As the mighty sun
The rose fingered moon
Beside the great stars
As light completely goes out
The dew is shed upon roses
And soft meadow sweet
