"I gather His children the end it nears!"
but his pleading falls on deafened ears.
"Do you not know what He's done for you?"
but they were shadows passing through.
"He gave his only Son that we might be free
and so we can live with Him throughout eternity!"
Not one person stopped to hear his words.
They scattered and flew like frightened birds.
Heart in hand he stood there and cried.
"Forgive me Lord but I have tried.
I fought the good fight just as you said
but these poor souls are already dead."
"Fear not!" the Lord Jehovah replied,
"I will not for too long be denied.
Well done My servant faithful and true
I save a place in heaven for you."
"Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour." Ephesians Chapter 5 Verses 1 and 2
