Poetic Verses

Time line

There is a line we follow,
a simple rule in time,
all events allow
like the patterns of a rhyme

The day born to count as one,
the first of all we do,
to count until the days are done;
'til time on earth is through

The milestones in steps to take
and all the words we share,
all efforts and decisions make,
of all that we do care

Inches that we mark by date,
along a simple line,
induced or simply left to fate
that grow upon this vine

Those that know you well
will always count the most
Acquaintances won't dwell
on ambitions of your ghost

Fame and fortune never hide
on lines so clear to dawn
Beginning to end abide
for all a time line's drawn
