Smile Revisited

Once I breathed you into my soul
And drank deep of your limpid eyes
Soaking in the ocean of your beauty
Unafraid to drown in those deep waters.
They were times when all felt magical
And all the world was a Temple of Light;
Every heart seemed a flower in loves garden,
Every voice singing of a Golden Age.

Your smile somehow became part of me
Just at that moment frozen in time.
It will never change you know
Even though the years roll on by;
I can still see you clear in my mind
As I turn around in slow motion wonder
To see you standing there in gathering dusk,
Your lips radiant with a special mystery
That touches my life to this very moment.
