Renewal

One day I will return to that Land
Where long ago I left you weeping;
I often gaze through windows of my eyes
Dreaming of the time I will see you again
And it will be as if I never went away.
The patterns of this world of illusion
Have often stolen the images of you
And my heart grows heavy with sorrow.
How can I bridge those fading years
Without seeing clearly your beauty;
How can I see you in the rush
That we call life in the fast lane?
So brief we are like lightning flashes
Or bubbles in a stream flowing by.
Yet our love seemed to grow so quickly
Perhaps one day it will touch the stars.
When our hopes and dreams are reborn.
