The Girl Who Does No Wrong

Memories like golden birds
Fly from my heart to yours
You smile as if you know
The love that sadness cures.

I saw light in your veins
No blood in one so precious
Oceanic sky in your eyes
And a beauty that is spacious.

The mind creates its reality
No tired worrier are you
But a woman of better days
When life was good and true.

Saw you on a cloudy day
Standing by the kitchen sink
A lady lost in loving dreams
Deeper than we can think.

But tears fall when night comes
No one knows how you feel
Many hearts touched by yours
Don't know what you conceal.

A lonely one who sees clear
By her pain the sadness of others
And she doesn't want those around
To know what sorrow uncovers.

So she makes her path bright
And her voice a cheery song
And all who meet her love
The girl who does no wrong.
