Rekindled Fires
Why do you argue and fight,
You think that you both are right;
Making the agony prolong,
When both of you are dead wrong.
Emotions light the fires,
Of dark selfish desires;
That are fighting to control,
The inner part of your soul.
You are driven to have things,
To whatever your mind clings;
And upset when things are not,
As the way that you have sought.
God hates any arrogance,
Even more so defiance;
So humble yourself to those,
With opinions you oppose.
Clean up your life clear your mind,
When with others just be kind;
For their minds are not your clay,
So not all can be your way.
Letting God to take control,
Fills His love within your soul;
Approach Him and be sincere,
He will then want to be near.
