Greater Than Moses
We have the confidence,
Within the new promise;
Faith is in acceptance,
Making life seem more joyous.
More boldly we can speak,
Like Moses we are not;
Whose speech was faint and weak,
Wore a veil whence truth got.
Not wanting them to see,
The glory fade away;
And blind as they could be,
Once again go astray.
The veil still must be worn,
Each time the books are read;
Only Christ makes it torn,
Putting the veil to bed.
When one turns to the Lord,
The veil is torn away;
Becoming one accord,
Starting that very day.
This Lord is the Spirit,
With freedom from the veil;
And what we inherit,
Where the truth will prevail.
