The Absent Dolphins

My Only Shadow

Forgetting
I thought I saw,
dolphins dancing
in the sky last night.
I was there,
but absent
I am here,
but absent.

I thought I wanted to see
dolphins dancing,
in the sky last night,
melting within
the shape of the clouds.

They were there,
dancing, floating, melting
to THE silent symphony,

But I was absent...
