The River So Deep
Wading through the river so deep
I pray the Lord my soul will keep.
Until I float safely ashore
I'll seek His peace for evermore.
In the midst of life's tidal waves
The Master speaks, the storm behaves.
And as I tread this earthly sea
Oh Lord I beg Your mercy on me.
For when You speak the twenth-third Psalm
In troubled times I still am calm.
God helps me to lie down and sleep
Though the waters all around are deep.
And until I float safely ashore
I'll pray for strength unto the Lord.
As I wade through this river so deep
I pray the Lord, my soul will keep.
