A POEM FOR A FRIEND.
1. Mind how you go old friend
I will watch over you
I'm beside you on every bend
I will see you through
My heart is yours to lend.
2. If you should stumble old friend
If you should lose your way
It's hope to you I'll send
On any given darkest day
My comfort is yours to lend.
3. I'll protect you from the hurt old friend
Whenever such needs do apply
A shoulder to weep on I will send
And wipe your damp eyes dry
My helping hand you can depend.
4. I'm here for you when the lonely nights decend
To keep you safe from all life's harm
To be your guiding light and help old friend
I'll steer you back to the seas of calm
I'll be that stable rock on who you depend.
