A few hours.

She lost a few hours somewhere in her life she quietly whispered
To the low voice that rested so deeply within her head
And some times she wondered if here in life she was really living
While dreaming these dreams she often dreamed in her bed
And yet she can still see the front garden growing beneath her
With those colourful flowers to see from the window above
And she has often seen those neighbours walking by so slowly
With those smiles of happiness and eyes filled with real love
And there in the park she often watched those children playing
But their young voices were far too low to hear what was said
And then again she is asking herself if here she is really living
With just these dreams and thoughts now circling within her head
Because some times this world just becomes a lonely place to live in
Even though outside there often appears that laughter and sweet cheer
And yet still for her it becomes another day of many lonely thoughts
With just the sound of death making her really believe she is not here.
