It always comes to you late at night
Something you just have to write
A clever thought that's so profound
You can't wait to write it down
One second later you are deep
Into a dream, you fell asleep
Before you even had a chance
To stub your toe in a dark room dance
To find some paper and a pen
You'll never see that thought again
Two days later you'll recall
How you nearly saved us all
With that great idea you had
But I've got news and it's not bad
That idea flew out your head
When you fell asleep in bed
It went flying to the stars
And fell into the Sea of Mars
It's floating around somewhere near
Look around, you'll find it here
