On all and sundry through
His Facebook Page
He's a staunch Brexiteer
No time for those who voted stay
Backstabbing traitors as he puts it
in his own special way.
Its a double edged sword
Baring your soul on Facebook
Because I went to his profile
And I had a little look
This staunch Patriot
Defender of our sacred Isle
Hasn't graced these shores
For more than a little while.
He emigrated to Australia
More than fifty years ago
Just packed up his bags
And decided to go
By Assisted passage
His own personal choice
Yet he seems to think he has
the right to raise his voice
And call a remainer like me
A backstabbing traitor
From all those miles away
Other side of the Equator.
Rats and sinking ships
Come to mind about this bloke
But really he's a self opinionated
Antipodean little joke.
One of those valiant people
Who in the cause of public good
Will seemingly fight to the last
Drop of somebody else's blood.
He loves good old England
Thinks of it with respect and care
In his heart it's still his home but
Sure as hell he's not living there
