Poetry for those seeking the heart of their soul

SO SILENT

So silent is my voice
No chance to say goodbye,
You'll never even know
How I sit alone and cry.

So silent are my tears
When they fall to the floor,
No one ever sees me
Behind my bedroom door.

So silent are my screams
No one ever hears,
The only sound I make
Wrapped within my fears.

So silent is my heart
Beating alone within,
My shadow now my own
A lonely life begins.

So silent is my life
Since you walked away,
Pain echoes in my mind
Filling every day.

So silent is my pen
I write of wrenching pain,
An empty chair beside me
Forever alone again.
