ASHES
Fire spitting embers
Ignite a passion
Kisses leap from the grate of our heart while
Winters night
Calls cold
Flames unfurl
Spewing cashews of pearl
Glistens the heat of the evening
Stealthy warmth to weave
A spark hits the hearth
And splutters to death
Black cave of soot
Clings to midnight black sky
