Dark Spain’s love of writing began as a child who was raised in Belize City, Belize in Central America.  She has always been an intriguing, loving, intelligent, family-oriented, welcoming individual who possesses an unsuspecting inner strength.    Poetry is her means of expression that would otherwise remain unsaid.  Her poetry will weave you through a symmetrical pattern, which reveals a taunting image of complexities that rival its balance.
 
This therapeutic journey through poetry is one she shares by posting on this website.   As she stated, “I am most comfortable sharing my thoughts this way, and I never harbor hurt feelings.” 
She chose her pseudonym, “Dark Spain” as an honor to her great grandmother, Dorcas M. Spain.
