Wendy's Poetry
I was born W on February 25, 1961, in Plainfield,NJ, and raised in Colonia, NJ. I have a congenital defect called spina bifida ("open spine"). As a result I use a wheelchair to get around, and
I also have difficulty emptying my bladder and bowels. I have another condition called hydrocephalus ("water on the brain") for which I have 2
shunts (tubes) in my head to drain the fluid that builds up. In spite of
all these medical problems I have been living in my own apartment since
September of 1992. I enjoy doing all kinds of writing, and I like to
do independent study in just about all areas; math, science, and the
social sciences, to name just a few. I also enjoy working on my computer,
listening to music, and watching TV, especially sitcoms and sports.
