At about 4am yesterday morning (8-20-14) Shannon Key passed away. He was my grandson by marriage...married to Ish's granddaughter. Some of you will remember when I first asked for prayer for him approximately 7 years ago...and, believe me, prayer saw him and our family through many trials...God granted Shannon 7 years of remission to spend with his family...and that was a miracle in itself...yet his 7 year fight of faith against the brain cancer produced miracle after miracle...even allowing him to return to work for a few years. Shannon was a 14 year deputy with the Albuquerque Sheriff Association, working with the dogs, and he was, also, a veteran of the US Navy. He leaves behind a devoted wife and three teenaged children, along with his mom and dad...please pray for continued faith and strength for all of us. And I'd like to thank you all for the prayers you prayed when asked...God and I both remember your love and support. The battle is over for Shannon...and the rewards are just beginning.
