I just read the story of the lady whose husband could not afford an expensive ring and someone told her the ring he gave her was pathetic. She answered it was the love not the ring. On vacation one of friends was telling almost the same story. She had been going to the same jewelry store drawn to the same ring. It was going to be hers when she married. One day after a couple years the ring was gone. It hurt. She made the statement I hope the b--enjoys my ring. She had no idea one of her girlfriends had told her love about the ring. She was drawn to tears when he gave it to her and realized who the b---was. It was our 55th anniversary. When we were married I had no money at all but my family Jewelery friend. We were embarrased by the tiny stone but all I could afford. Our friend's wedding present she wore for several years. A real diamond he had purchased at an estate sale. It was stolen one day when she removed it to paint and workers took it. Her new ring replaced with insurance. Before he offered the ring he had it appraised far above what I could have ever paid. /dandy
