Lonewolf
No silhouette against the moon
It's faded beyond our sight
The howl that pierced the very soul
Is silent here tonight
His path so territorial
Lies cold no prints therein
No scent to mark his going
Just emptiness within
The Lonewolf a majestic beast
So dominant and proud
Lulled now into silence
Beyond the darkest cloud
But time and space can't hold him
The wind a mournful sound
Will instincts bring him back again
To this lowly hunting ground
The pack remaining vigilant
For his silhouette against the moon
