What Would Jesus Do?

"Whispers Of Worship"

Lord, I kneel before You
In humbleness of heart.
In my attempt to serve You
I let myself become a part

Of a compromising cycle
Which was so hard to escape.
My soul is sorely vexed...
My spirit suffered rape.

I feel just like a yoyo
Dangling on a string,
Been pulled up and down
Into this worldly thing.

Lord, if I've offended You,
I prayerfully confess.
Forgive me my transgressions
And set my mind at rest.

We claim to be Your children
But some always disagree.
I'm weary from the turmoil...
Please take this cup from me.

I know You let it rain upon
The just and the unjust.
Teach us how to love again...
Teach us how to trust.

Lord, please do guard my tongue...
Shield my ears from sin.
Let me flee from its appearance.
Please keep me pure within.

Let me walk forth in the Spirit...
Free me from the flesh.
Set my feet on Holy Ground
Remove me from this stress.

Lord, please help me to realize
I must be an example
To represent Your Kingdom.
So that others yearn to sample

Your mercy and Your goodness...
Your forgiveness and Your Grace.
Blind my eyes to the deceiver.
Keep them solely on Your Face.

To those who speak against me...
Let me turn the other cheek
With no thought of retaliation.
Lord, keep me mild and meek.

Because You're my protector...
My battles You will fight.
I have Your Holy promise...
I am precious in Your sight.

You called me into service.
I so willingly obeyed.
Yet, in some certain areas,
I fear I might have strayed.

I forgive the ones who hurt me.
I ask You forgive them, too.
If I, by chance, have also hurt,
Forgive me, I ask You.

On this night I, once again,
Commit my life to You.
May I always ask the question,
What would Jesus do?

Prayerfully Presented,

**Author's Note**
This is my heartfelt prayer.
If you feel hurt, please pray
it, too. Jesus is a healer.

"Blessed are  you when they
revile and persecute you.
and say all kinds of evil
against you falsely for My
sake,
Rejoice and be exceedingly
glad, for great is your
reward in heaven, for so
they persecuted the prophets
who were before you."
Matthew 5:11-12

"The beloved of the Lord
shall dwell in safety by Him
Who shelters him all the day
long And he shall rest between
His shoulders."
Deuteronomy 33:12

"He who dwells in the secret
place of the Most High shall
abide under the shadow of the
Almighty."
Psalm 91:1
