Broken Until His Word Was Spoken
(Linda Way Before Becoming A Pastor)
She once was a broken woman full of dismay
Unbeknownst to her in the shadows He did wait
Longing for her to reach out for Him to lead the way
But she suffered in silence for His word she did forsake
The many tears she shed could form a river
In silence she hoped nobody would hear her
For the pain she felt inside she wanted to hide
Her outward appearance seemed happy to herself she lied
The ones she put her trust in seemed to let her down
Many loves in her life passed away or no longer around
Her children was her sole reason to daily carry on
But the years flew by so quickly they'd be grown and gone
What was she to do she felt so all alone
Married, yet his work and hobbies was his own
One day sadness overtook her she wanted to sleep
Then suddenly in a dream her Mama she would see
Awakened abruptly...with a poem she penned speedily
T'is when My own healing started by a poetic journey
My first poem on paper was " Maybe Someday "
Then..."Mama Was You There?" birthed the same way
I had no idea what this journey would lead me too
However;before I knew it I was sharing Jesus with you
This once broken woman was healed through her poetry
Bringing her to surrender to Jesus writing for His glory
As you may gather it's just a bit of my life story
Hoping to share with you on your own life journey
That there is nothing or nobody to mend your heart
Until you surrender to Jesus for His love to impart
For it is He that molds and mends all mankind's heart
He restored me by His love for a fresh new start
Even now when life's hurts or pains may creep in
It births a new poem from whence my journey begin
This poem is dedicated to any broken person today
By surrendering your all to Jesus He'll fix you the same way
For many losses and sorrows He has now replaced
With joy unspeakable by His precious love and grace
Thank-you My Lord Jesus for my life anew
As long as I live I will praise and worship You!!

Psalm 45:1
1.My heart is inditing a good matter:
I speak of the things which I have made touching the king:
my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
Jeremiah 33:3
Call unto me, and I will answer thee,
and show thee great and mighty things,
which thou knowest not.
Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Psalm 44:20-21
20 If we have forgotten the name of our God,
or stretched out our hands to a strange god;
21 Shall not God search this out?
for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
Psalm 20:6
Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed;
he will hear him from his holy heaven
with the saving strength of his right hand.
Psalm 40:7-11,16
7 Then said I, Lo, I come:
in the volume of the book it is written of me,
8 I delight to do thy will, O my God:
yea, thy law is within my heart.
9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation:
lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
10 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart;
I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation:
I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and
thy truth from the great congregation.
11 Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD:
let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
16.Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee:
let such as love thy salvation say continually,
The LORD be magnified.
Psalm 41:9-13
9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted,
which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
10 But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up,
that I may requite them.
11 By this I know that thou favourest me,
because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
12 And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity,
and settest me before thy face for ever.
13 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting,
and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
