In 1999 we lost Siskel to cancer,
but the story doesn't stop there.
They were an incredible team,
well up on the movie scene.
Ebert has a star on the
hollywood walk of fame,
while Siskel has one
in heaven just the same.
Cancer made it's rounds
again with the dynamic duo,
this time taking the voice
of Ebert as few may know.
And although his voice is silenced
he still writes his review,
proving the power of the pen
and his thumb still come thru.
It's strange not
having Siskel&Ebert to this day,
but Ebert looks to the stars
to see what Siskel would say.
If the stars are shining ever so brite,
it's a thumbs up from Siskel tonite.
If they shine ever so dim,
it's clearly thumbs down from him.
