 Pastor Linda Sharing God's Love

IF...You Believe_Do Not Be Deceived



  



 
I was watching a program as a Pastor was giving an illustration
On a plain board of paper throwing darts causing deep penetration
Unbeknownst to me behind it as he lifted the paper up
Was a beautiful then marred picture of Our Lord Jesus
 
This whole demonstration was for all to see
Unkind words are like darts in the face of the almighty
For we are commanded to love even our enemies
Lest we be held in bondage not to be set free
 
Love won at Calvary for all that abide in Him
For His blood was shed to cover mankinds' sin
The other point made of the above illustration
The heart of Jesus we hurt when we attack His creation
 
For whether we live unto the Lord or die we are the Lords'
Bought for a price at Calvary it's written in His word
Both death and life are in the power of our tongue
Every idle word we speak we'll be held accountable for each one
 
He warns us to be quick to listen and slow to speak
Do as unto the Lord in both word and deed
God will not be mocked and we will reap what we sow
Avoid strife, and divisive men ,He wants us to know
 
Those that truly believe should maintain good works
Growing in love for it covers a multitude of sin in God's word
Blessed is the man that sitteth not in the counsel of the ungodly
Guard your eye gates and ear gates from all that is unholy
 
For what goes into them will eventually come out
"As a man thinketh so is he" _never doubt
For out of the abundance of the heart man speaks
Without the washing of the word man stays in carnality
 
I tell you the truth for it's a matter of life and death
He that abides in My word hath life ;Jesus said
Ye shall know them by the fruit that they bear
If it doesn't bring God glory I plead you beware
 
The signs of the times are here my friends
Jesus could return any day to rapture His church unto Him
I pray you'll not be left behind accused of being a worker of iniquity
For our purpose here on earth is to bring God glory

Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.
5-14-10
I pray you'll read the scriptures for they are a light unto your path.
It is the guidance of God's truth (The Holy Bible)
that nobody can deceive you.This is a powerful teaching too.

Psalm 1:1-3
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel
of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD;
and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also
shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Titus 1:13-16 NIV
13 This testimony is true. Therefore, rebuke them sharply,
so that they will be sound in the faith
14 and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the
commands of those who reject the truth.
15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are
corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure.
In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.
16 They claim to know God, but by their actions
they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and
unfit for doing anything good.

What Must Be Taught to Various Groups
**************************************
Titus 2:1-15
1 You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine.
2 Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect,
self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.
3 Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way
they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine,
but to teach what is good.
4 Then they can train the younger women to love their
husbands and children,
5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home,
to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands,
so that no one will malign the word of God.
6 Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled.
7 In everything set them an example by doing what is good.
In your teaching show integrity, seriousness
8 and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned,
so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because
they have nothing bad to say about us.
9 Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything,
to try to please them, not to talk back to them,
10 and not to steal from them, but to show that they can
be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the
teaching about God our Savior attractive.
11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.
12 It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions,
and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,
13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing
of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness
and to purify for himself a people that are his very own,
eager to do what is good.
15 These, then, are the things you should teach.
Encourage and rebuke with all authority.
Do not let anyone despise you.

Titus 3:8-11
8 This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress
these things, so that those who have trusted in God may
be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good.
These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.
9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments
and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable
and useless.
10 Warn a divisive person once, and then warn
him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him.
11You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful ;
he is self-condemned.

Jude 12-25
12 These men are blemishes at your love feasts,
eating with you without the slightest qualm—
shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds
without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees,
without fruit and uprooted—twice dead.
13 They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame;
wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.
14 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men:
"See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands
of his holy ones
15 to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the
ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all
the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him."
16 These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow
their own evil desires; they boast about themselves
and flatter others for their own advantage.

A call to persevere

17 But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our
Lord Jesus Christ foretold.
18 They said to you, "In the last times there will be scoffers
who will follow their own ungodly desires."
19 These are the men who divide you, who follow mere
natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.
20 But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most
holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.
21 Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy
of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
22 Be merciful to those who doubt;
23 snatch others from the fire and save them ;
to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even
the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.

Doxology

24 To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present
you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—
25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority,
through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages,
now and forevermore! Amen.
