Summer's  Calling


Mud  pies, sand  castles, sunshine
In  abundant  supply, waves  lapping
Pail  and  bucket, children  laughing
The  making  of  a  wonderful  day

Umbrella  stationed, blanket  spread
Straw  hat  sits  on  Mommas  head
Sun  glasses  perched  upon  each  nose
Sand  squishes  between  tiny  toes

Popsicles  packed  on  ice, peanut
Butter  and  jelly  sandwich's, all
The  making  of  a  wonderful  day
