ride to victory©
Anybody that really knows me
knows i'm not a sports fan,
but even i can see
how deserving is this man.
I never met him i must say
but i know somebody who did,
he's a true gentleman in ev'ry way
he never keeps that hid.
When others of his age would have quit
he hung in there because he believed,
never on the sidelines did he sit
cause he knew the magic his team weaved.
Carried to a victory celebration atop
the shoulders of 2 of his team,
the likes of which will never stop
for they're living out a dream.
The glow in his cheeks shone about
in ev'ry word the emotion,
for him they played their hearts out
for his 400th win.
Yes folks history was made
on Nov.6,2010,
now the ground work has been laid
for another coach to even come close:
to doing it again.
When asked why stay thru the long haul
the answer from him was quite clear,
because i truly love you all
and so JoePa i celebrate you here!
The History Of Penn State
although it's about a sport,
is a story i could never hate!
