beauty and the ghost©


Love like there's no tomorrow,
smile like there's no sorrow.
Dance to the beat of a different drum,
dance to the music
the celebration will come.
I have but 1 life to live,
i have but 1 heart to give....

My independence has gone astray
and my body has a new host,
i fear i must make way
for the path led by a silent ghost.
Age has met its match
cause i will not give in,
i have a plan to hatch
to not beat it would be a sin.
OK well i can't stop death in its tracks
but i won't go down without a fight,
i'll just live my life to the max
and hang on with all my might.
My world is blessed with beauty
in so many ways,
with the love of my life beside me
all of my days.
On Nov.28 i'm so proud
we'll be together 30 years my friend,
all the happiness heaven has allowed
has truly been a Godsend.
But that ghost takes its toll
i can't do things i used to do anymore,
i'll still play out my role
till the ghost takes me out the door.
(in the meantime i'll give it a what for)
