Feeding Time
Sacrificial muse
Bleeding and blinded
Bound by her yearning
Steps into desire
Ravenous dragon
Circles its victim
Drinks from her fervor
Devours her love
Unceasing passion
Soon becomes torture
Such rapt endurance
Will not be sustained
Passion is painful
Pain is transcendence
Spiraling inward
To feel the sublime
Dragon now sated
Curls round its treasure
Jealously guarding
The food of its soul.
