mirror mirror-all too clear©

For a ride we're taken our tree is shaken.
There's no fakin we rudely awaken.
Seldom mistaken we feel forsaken.
Life plays tricks with curves in the mix.
No easy fix while the clock ticks.
It gets its kicks our wounds get licks.
You've got to be kidding me.
I look closely what do i see?
An old lady staring back relentlessly.
In the mirror a reflection will appear.
Youth no longer here old age will sneer.
The child i held dear kidnapped i fear.
Although an old fart once fresh now tart.
Each day i start thinking young so smart.
Cause in my heart youth plays a part.
