Life Story #5
This woman stands on this corner day in and day out
What in the world can she be talking about
She stops people as they are passing by
On more than one occasion she made them cry
She is one of those Jesus freaks, a follower of God
Her appearance is normal, but her behavior is odd
Doesn’t she have anything else to do
What is her story, what has she been through
How did her life end up this way
If given the opportunity what would she say
That a few years ago she was diagnosed with cancer
After a million questions she got no answers
Or at least not the answer she wanted to hear
But at best she would live another year
After spending all she had and getting no better results
After trying black magic, superstitions, and cults
Still showing no improvement and getting worse everyday
She just fell to her knees and began to pray
She didn’t ask for healing, a second chance, nor more time
She simply ask God for a peace of mind
Confessing her sins, admitting her guilt and shame
And asking for forgiveness in Jesus name
Then as she felt the relief from the burden of sin
She heard a voice say go see the doctor again
Astounded and amazed at the doctors admission
That her cancer was now in total remission
That same day she was out in the corner telling everyone
What she truly believes that God had done
Now maybe you don’t believe in God, maybe you do
But what story would you tell if that happened to you
