broken down heart©
It's all i can do
to exist on this earth,
i can no longer be true
to my so called self worth.
I just don't have it in me
to go on anymore,
i'm drowning in tears of misery
since he stopped coming in the door.
I just lay and wait
for my last breath to take,
for when i get to the pearly gate
only then my spirit will awake.
My world is crumbling all around
there's just no foundation,
he was the support i found
now no more comfort found within.
All i feel like doing is closing my eyes
and sleeping the time away,
cause in dreams my sweetheart lies
where i can hold him thru the day.
When i'm awake i just cry
cause priceless memories overflow,
but then i can't touch that precious guy
and that grief will never let go.
