Valentine men
they are the kin
my desire
setting heart hearth home on fire
with words
unheard
by practical thought
maybe don't have a lot
have word
it's enough
being tough in emotions

leaving them cussing
as words are fussing
to get out
all a poet man's about
just as a poet woman
Valentine men
hear your sorrow
knowing in real life
tomorrow's never going to come
because before you know it
you are in today you bum
of youth
uncouth
about Valentine Men
trying to win
the right
to write
the fight
of getting through
as day by day the poet's do
impractical
fanatical
maniacal
romantic-cal
thoughts that roll on through
the speedway
to the highway
where the words just race on through
the finish line
as first and last comes to past
prepare for another race
Valentine Men
give emotion every day
don't put it away
have poetry
to set free
what's inside
never hide
in written word
that's why the
turning of the wheel
inside their minds
produces feel
as one may know
ascending glow
raging fire
deep desire
find one
silly
