A Taste of Spring

I inhale the sapphire sky
exhaling pictures from
the tip of my pen.
They gather on paper
like a canvas...
brushing blessings of colorful
 words to cover the page.

Spring is in the air...
A vigorous sun signals
a symphony to begin.
A meadow lark adds  vocals
while trees toss their leaves

to the wind, whirling
to the beat
of new beginnings.

My heart responds
to the rhapsody
as the sound
splashes across streams,
striking, saturating
the morning with its melody.

The Master Artist dips
his brush...
In one stroke galleries
of green grace the
countryside.

Sunflowers sway
in the frolicking breeze...
Daisies dance
with all the energy
blown to them by
the breath of
God.

I, too, have tasted
of His spring
And rejoice in its
sweetness.
