CREAMED SOUPS

Cream of chicken soup
Cream of mushroom soup
Mashed up chicken noodle soup
Milk milk milk and more milk
Cold and refreshing
Warm and soft
It's what I have for days on end
When your bones have failed you
When old age takes your calcium
Teeth break off and die
The pain of pulling them made you cry
You eat creamed soups now
Wondering if you will ever bite
An olive again without pain
Not even thinking of biting the cucumber
You so love
Cookies, bread, vegetables, most everything
Better be soaked in something
My 7 month old grandson
Is older than me in teeth now
I am happy for him
How food sounds so good
When creamed soups once a day
Are your new nourishment.
