The Tell Tale Love®

It was there every night
the spirit of despair.
Peeking in with such angst
to shatter the reflection
of happiness that it saw.
It did this for many moons
and at daybreak was gone.
There was such music
and beauty beyond words.
But that spirit didn't light up
from it rather looked upon it
as something it couldn't stand to see.
It planned and planned the demise
wanting it to be totally unexpected.
Many days then months then years went by
and happiness was convinced
it was here to stay.
Laughter filled the halls
nothing could stop it.
But despair wasn't happy
for it feeds on darkness and pain.
Alas it thought this has gone on long enuff.
Time to put an end to its nightmare of smiles.
With 1 swift swoop it took it all away.
Then it could still sense the stench
of memory left behind.
How can this be it thought for
i destroyed what was?!
It could hear the beating of a heart
filled with so much love.
But i took the reason for that love!!
Still the heart beat strong and true.
The spirit went mad from the sound.
And was discovered under a heap of
light that Faith bestowed!
