We are a special breed
enjoying many a natural thing,
a bushel and a peck on the cheek what we need
and the pleasure that they bring!
We don't long for lavish pearls
or fancy cars and furs,
we bring envy to the other guys and girls
with the richness of Love that occurs!
So in a private jet they ride
and have unlimited travel on a gold card,
they could go far and wide
and not have the treasure found in our yard!
We get enjoyment
from fireflies on summer days,
that's how luxury time is spent
a better sparkle in so many ways!
We don't have to dine
in a fancy restaurant,
we'd rather eat potluck and drink home-made wine
than posh places and vineyards haunt!
Now i ponder at this i reckon
and wait out the reply,
does a Redneck go and feast in Heaven
or to a big TV tray in the sky?
Well as far as i'm concerned here and now
i don't reckon i know,
whatever they're servin it'll be better and how
dangling from a tire swing over that shiny rainbow!
I for one
would much rather be,
dining in the rays of the rednecked radiant sun
than in the lap of highteched fraudulent luxury!
And soon i will be there
painting a smile in the sky with My Sunshine Brightest,
living high on the hog(cloud)beyond compare
and this proud redneck will be so smartly kissed!
